Overlooking Lake Taupo – this Nicklaus design makes full use of the topography with plenty of movement. Each hole is challenging and playing off the Championship/Back tees proved to be a hell of a test measuring 7,363 yards.

As you’d expect of any Nicklaus design, stray shots were punished and any brain lapses around the greens were not an option!

The course opened in 2007 and is very well settled into the terrain. It is easy to see comparisons to Scottish links but the ball doesn’t run nearly as much and it plays the full 7,363 yards!
